The latest March numbers fromAdDuplex are out, and, it might not look too good for Windows 11. Per the latest report, Windows 11’s usage is leveling out a bit, with the operating system not picking up much steam in AdDuplex’s survey over previous months.
Compared toFebruary’s numbers,Windows 11 just saw a 0.1% gain overall on systems that were part of the survey group. It’s up to a 19.4% share from 19.3% last month. Yet on the Windows 10 side, things are a bit different. Windows 10 21H2 now has a 28.5% share, which is up from 21% in the past month. Windows 10 21H1, meanwhile, saw usage shrink, down from 27.5% in February to 26.5% this month.
Keep in mind these numbers only look at data from 5,000 Windows Store apps that are running AdDuplex SDK version 2, so they might not be fully representative of Windows 11’s or Windows 10’s actual usage. Last Microsoft shared, there were 1.4 billion devices running both Windows 10 and Windows 11, though the two operating systems were combined under the number.
Other than that, Microsoft mentioned that PCs were being upgraded to Windows 11 at twice the rate seen for Windows 10. Yet as good as that seems, it is looking as though most people have already come on board with Windows 11, and things might slow down heading into April.
