Microsoft has quietly released a new system update for Xbox 360 consoles (viaReddit). It’s not clear yet what this new version of the OS (2.0.17559.0) includes, as the software giant has yet to add the release notes on theXbox Support website. We’ll keep an eye on this page and we’ll update this post if we get more details about this new update.

The Xbox 360 received aprevious system update back in August, which according to Microsoft brought “minor bug fixes and improvements.” Before that, the Xbox 360 OS received two updates in 2018 and 2016, which was the year whenMicrosoft stopped manufacturing the console.

As the Xbox 360 will celebrate its 14th anniversary on November 22, which is the date of the console’s US launch, it’s great to see that Microsoft is still supporting it as well as all of its Xbox Live online features. We hope this ongoing support will continue once Microsoft’s next-gen Project Scarlett console is released in holiday 2020.

Update 9:15AM PDT: The Xbox Support website now indicates that this new system update only brings “minor bug fixes and improvements,” just like the August update.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
