It looks as if Microsoft is almost ready to roll out, or at least begin broad testing of, keyboard and mouse controls for their Xbox Cloud Gaming service. At least going by the recent Xbox app update which rolled out to Windows PCs today for Xbox Insiders and added a new search filter icon for games that support mouse and keyboard controls.

While the appearance of this filter option is exciting (at least for gamers who prefer mouse and keyboard), actual support for mouse and keyboard controls isn’t active yet, even for testing, and it seems, for now at least, that Xbox Insiders are the only users getting this change.

This means that actual Xbox Cloud Gaming support for mouse and keyboard is a few weeks or even months away from a general public launch.
