The Xbox team promised that it wouldoffer Xbox Series X mini fridgesbefore the end of the year, andthis is really happening. The Xbox team has teamed up with Ukonic! to create the $99 Xbox Series X mini fridges, which will go up for pre-order starting October 19 with a December 2021 shipping date.
The sleek matte-black tower holds up to 12 cans of your favorite beverage and has two shelves in the door, so you’ll be sure to have your favorite snacks at the ready. The front of the mini fridge also includes a USB port to charge devices and comes with a DC power adapter to enable the mini fridge to work on the go,” explained Xbox marketing exec Aaron Greenberg.
When Microsoft officially unveiled the Xbox Series X design at the Games Awards 2019 ceremony, the Xbox Series X fridge became an instant meme and Microsoft managed to ride this wave with grace. First, the Xbox teamsent real Xbox Series X fridges to Snoop Dogg and other influencers, and it’s now following up by offering affordable mini-fridges to Xbox fans. This is really great fan service, and the $99 pricing is lower than what many Xbox fans were expecting.
Xbox fans in the US will be able to pre-order the Xbox Series X mini-fridges from Target.com next week, and Target will also be the exclusive retailer in the US. In Canada, the Xbox mini fridges will be available to purchase from the official Xbox gear store in December. In Europe, the mini-fridges will also be available from GAME in the UK (£89.99), as well as Game Stop EU, Micromania, or Toynk (via Amazon) in France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Spain, Netherlands, and Poland.
“We’re working to bring the Xbox Mini Fridge to as many fans as possible and will continue to expand regional availability in 2022, pending regulatory approvals and restrictions by market,” Greenberg said today.
Update October 16 12:15 AM PT: Microsoft previously said that the Xbox Series X mini fridges would be available in Canada via Target.com, but the company has since reached out to us to say that this was no longer the case. The company plans to offer the Xbox Series X mini fridges in the country via the official Xbox Gear Store in December, and we’ve updated our post to reflect that.
