Yubico, which has the mission to make secure login easy and available for everyone. is expanding its partnership with Microsoft. The company announced todayin a blog postthat it has delivered, free of cost, 25,000 YubiKeys to Microsoft AccountGuard customers in 31 countries.
The goal of the expanded partnership is quite simple. Building on what has already been done in the United States ahead oflast year’s election, YubiCo hopes that it can extend protections to international election campaigns, human rights defenders, healthcare workers, journalists, and other high-risk organizations. It comes just a short week afterMicrosoft detailed its Zero Trust security mindset, which involves approaches to addressing security, compliance, identity, and device management as an interdependent whole.
“Yubico is a valued partner for Microsoft AccountGuard and the YubiKey is our recommended hardware-based multi-factor authentication solution,” said Tom Burt, Corporate Vice President, Customer Security & Trust, Microsoft. “We’re working with individuals whose security is at risk by sophisticated attackers. Knowing that we can give AccountGuard customers the most advanced form of phishing protection, at no cost, is a tremendous win across the board.”
YubiCo’s YubiKey will be used as part of the partnership. It allows enterprises to ditch passwords and securely access their accounts with just the tap or touch of a YubiKey. YubiKey also supports both legacy and modern systems. More information on YubiCo’s productsare available here.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
